It all has to do with the kind of person you are and the kind of person that you marry. We heterosexuals need to consider who we are to deny the rights of transfer we ourselves have the option to enjoy through marriage. Gay marriage in no way affects me so therefore I could really care less if they want to get married. Social obligations are affirmed under Article This really upsets me to think about, there are so many other religions in our nation, why does this particular one get to force its values onto other people? There are much greater problems in our society than worrying about whether or not gay marriage is going to somehow demean what marriage actually stands for. The fact is that, as far as we have come as a society in the sense that homosexuality is much more accepted today than it was 50 years ago, there are still so many ways in which heterosexual and homosexual are treated differently unequally in society.
So why should we also impose our Christian faith on others who might or might not believe in our religion.
Same Sex Marriage
Personally I think that people are just becoming more and more lazy these days and are not willing to put any effort into making a marriage last when times get rough…. They are not given the same benefits as normal couples. Today most marriages are rushed and there is not love behind it. Same sex unions are making progress in gaining acceptance but they still have a long way to go. The arguments against gay marriage have never sat well with me. Why should the law recognize it?
